Bay Blu '18 Months Time Served' album review

Artis:Bay Blu
Album:18 Months 'Time Served'
Label:BMMB

Rating is based on 5 records
(5- classic 4.5 close classic,4 near classic,3-dope,2-keep working,1-back to the lab

If you have'nt heard Las Vegas artist Bay Blu's '18 months' cd. I suggest  you  check for it.Its the pre-quel to 'Time Served' .Right out the gate Bay Blu of BMMB ( label). The vicious 'Baby's Bacc' lets you know what the streets has been missing since he came home from his stint. Also address rumors and hate shit cats then tried to assassinate his character wit false accusations.
the definite club banga is 'BMMB' .Got that bounce but spitting real shit. Some sexy for the ladies is joints like Cool On You" ,"Take Control" .Show a versatile side of Bay Blus artistry with the Rnb Hooks he blows..Butter shit.Production is handled by Hitman Beatz,King David notables and other contribute too.The summer hood anthem " No Respect" feat Hitman Beats, Yung Caddie is one that'll have yo trunk knocking with the bottom hitting with 808s and this line up .
One of the truest artist to rep The Veg in years.Bay blu wears his emotions on his sleeve.Even veteran Vegas  MC  Tha Landlord shows up on "Trap All Night".As they go bar  for bar on hustling in these streets .Throught out the project the production and lyric game is on point. You can hear the passion and pain thru his stories of real life shit.Showing no love for the dudes and females that doubted his return to the game.Label mate Blu Angel teams up with Loc on "No Hard  Feelings'You  can't  do thing but respect how the team moves.Making appearances on the project  are
Blu Angel,Gutt Tha Livewire,,II Face,Sho Time.Tha Lanlord, and Bogard. The unapologetic "Yung Nicca" speaks to the heart  of young cats and Blu's lessons to this point in his life.
If you like being up there then "Cloud 9" will appeal to all my heads off that good good...
From the heart Blu takes you on ride thru his life from a shorty to a man addressed on " Pain".
All in all this has a new genre we like to call like a west -trap driven production base.West coast street ethics, thick snyths fused with that south bounce .This helps make the album well rounded with the RnB joints for the ladies like "Fantasy".But can still keep it G enough to earn that street cred.A definite Vegas classic album..
and Bay Blu is just getting started ....

T.Rabb "Heirs to the Norf" compilation review

Rating is based on 5 records
(5- classic 4.5 close classic,4 near classic,3-dope,2-keep working,1-back to the lab

Now to understand the Norf I'm taking about in Las Vegas. You take everything west of North 5st and North of Cheyene. This up and coming culture of MCs with there own slanguage, style, swagg and code of MCing is a new lane of Vegas hip-hop.T.Rabb one of the instrumental MCs who helps make up this eclectic mixture of talent brings together an allstar cast of notables for this compilation.
Featuring Music From: T.R@bb, Trade Voorhees, Yae, G.Reed, God Spark, LeRoyCHOPS, Thelonius, P'Ocean, Jabtawa, Schwoogi, Jerry Shinefiled, Toxsikk, Aquil Jamal, S-U-, Illecism.
If you know Norf shit then you know this is a Dream Team lineup.Setting off the tape is an epic Westcoat laced intro. Then Trade kicks the door in with Overture "Ode to more Steez" setting the tone. Then T.Rabb drops the classic"Norf(Town)" the joint that layed the framework for it all.For the lyrical onslaught  on that other shit is Thelonius "Xs Up".Got tat Wu-tang meets Westcoast feel to it.Early Norf native Yae(by way of Sac) comes thru with the
"Taking Candy from a Baby" joint.Strecthing the range of Mcing. When you hear Jabtawa x T.Rabb on  the lyrical deathwish "Black Roses" cats know the game is over with the Norf team.Raw aggresion and firey delivery  comes to the forefront as KillOff memeber Toxsikk spits over the classic 'Ante Up" b/w "Blaze,SMoke,Hydro".A two for one joint.
The catching name dropping thru out his flow by Schwoogi is show how diverse the team can go.But the extra treat of the compilation is the "Real Cypher" with T.Rabb,Schwoogi, and Jerry Shinefeild a live mic passing event that keeps you at on your toes.
This compilation gives you a peep into the niche of this Norf shit.Everybody holds they own and deserves the place on here.No filer joints.G.Reed spits over the clasic "4,3,2,1" with witty gems.Thru out the tape its slappers all way thru.D-Ran steps in with a Norf bounce joint"Worth" will have you beating down the block.
If they aint enough closes out the show is probably one of the most creative and anticipated joints"?" thats right no name but you wont forget this joint .T.Rabbx Trade Voorhees collab on the production of this track.Witty wordplay over a dope loop with 808s slapping to it.The ultimate close out joint.
After this if you aint up on Norf shit you will be.They've created their own lane ,hell they own the road!!
Dont sleep ....instant classic material
