Straight off the streets of Vegas veteran MC TDK drops his much anticipated aptly titled
'A Hundred In The Shade' album. A fitting title for the heat on the album and the heat in these Vegas streets.TDK has been a staple in the Veg music game for some time now. This being his third official album release. Not to mention his nine mixtapes either solo or collabs.
The lead single out the gate 'The Life I Chose'
sums up his grind, persistence and luv for the game.MOBgee  laces the infectious chrous.Produced by Kingvay Hill.If you wanna meet your maker TDK states he can set up a meeting for you on the ferocious "Fear God".
When the thunderous "I Ain't Buying It" blurs thru the speakers you are automatically drawn to the hard hitting drums and snyths. It has that anthem feel to it soon as chorus hits you.Speaking on the state of the Vegas rap scene and cats  coming with that bullshit.TDK is a student and vet of the trade.A true hip hop head as notice by his wordplay and lyrically content.Hits you with a club type banger on the Bay area sounding  "I'm In My Zone" like his says a "a tiger's stripes don't change".DJs can bang this one in the club.Heat provided by Calico Smoke 1.There are no filer cuts on the album.Even with it being (9) cuts deep with a bonus cut.TDK and Lucid Dreamz Music Group(Al "Slo" Thighman put together a solid body of work.Diverse joints that all mesh together well. When you get to "Bitch I'm Me" with a trill screwed type chorus and braggadocio bar dropping on hoes and the game.TDK puts the context it it's rawest element. All his true day one fans will appreciate this 2014 release. And new fans have a chance to get up on a Veg pioneer. The DJ slim produced "Bad MF" rides with a thick west coast bass line.A definite slapper.
Closing out the album is the silky pimpish"Sucka Dodgin" speaking  on this sucker ass lames polluting the game. As he navigates to  stay away from them.As his says bitch nigga repellent.Produced by Marlon Money and he blows on the hook. One of the stand out cuts.
The bonus cut "Trouble" has a sample based lacing through out the track.Showing TDK's diversity to spit over different beats.produced by Dice(R.I.P)
Overall this his a dope body of work. It's what the game needs right now.Witty wordplay, solid lyrically content, and sonically an incredible production landscape. The only  if any problem you might have is  it being  only (9) cuts deep. But in this day and age of the game. You'd rather have quality over quantity.
Don't sleep on "A Hundred In The Shade" . The question is can you take the heat.?
