When an artist grows from every project to date currently .You inevitablty are gonna come to the crossroads of  Talent +Work etchic = a instant classic like T.Rabb's "Art Always" tape.It 's more of an album deep with 20 cuts plus a bonus cut.The Norf,Las Vegas  music scene have been know  for spawing the more lyrical texture of Vegas based hip-hop.T.Rabb's latest project encompass's all the elements. The lyrics are fierce, beats: infectious, content:well rounded.Rabb uses  broad strokes and palletes of color to paint his emotions.Opening Intro aka "Let Me Paint"sets the tone with a  cinematic epic auroa. With artist refrences such as BanskyDa Vinci.Setting off the tape is the club/street knocker "Rane 2 Rane" .It has that boucne but with the lyrics that real M.C.S can feel.Got that Veg Slap sound.A quarter of the way through the album you will feel you got your moneys worth.Rich thought proviking concious cuts like "Black Panther" , "The Alpo Story"(Notorious Harlem  80s drug dealer) Alpo Martinez from a street perspective,"Another Rapper Dead" feat fellow Norf wordsmith Thelonius The Gawd. The lead single "30k" rings so sonically that your instantly hypnotized to the joint. The second single that set fire was the me against the world anthem"I Can't Lose".That joint that athletes, boxers, ball players and the everyday people will bump to start the morning off.Lights the fire under you.
Acknowledging the greatness he was in the company of.As well as the passing of the Norf touch to is heard on "Kings Entrance"
You got joints with the feel good radio vibe to it like "Pick You Up" and "Teddy P interlude. The later definitley for the grow up groove. There are various layers and textures to this audio potrait "Couple Of Days" with a church choir on the hook  gives you that postive motivating feel.
Assisting Rabb's lyrics with the sound sonics are producers Blair Norf,Nobilitity,Magic Narcosis,CMPLX,Greg Jones,Chris  Punsulan, and $ON.All bring a different element and vibe that
fits all the other elements.Deep cuts like "Wax Museum" and"Claude Monet" Claude Monet'  will real  provoke interspection. The title track"Art Always" Rabb cleverly sums up his life 24yrs of life in roughly 3mins.It all flows togther and helps you appreciate his foundation, journey, and drive on his artistic /life road.Closing out the joint is a special bonus anthem the areana -knocking "City on My Shoulders " feat Impact.Rabb's spits is ode to his brith turf. The UNLV 91 champs intro blows you away. This is the year of Rabb's birth to the world. Also it's at the height of UNLV historic college basketbal run.The chop (lyrical game ) on this is so crazy. You will be infected and connected to the energy this joint radiates.
Overall this body of work has some many layers and depth. You will appreciate the growth and in- depth artistry displayed from T.R@bb.

TDK: A Hundred In The Shade album review

Rating is based on 5 records
(5- classic 4.5 close classic,4 near classic,3-dope,2-keep working,1-back to the lab

Labels:Team TDK/Lucid Dreamz Music Group
Producers:KingVay,DJ Slimm,Calico Smoke 1,
Marlon Money,S.O.,Dice(R.I.P)
Release date :6-20-14

Straight off the streets of Vegas veteran MC TDK drops his much anticipated aptly titled
'A Hundred In The Shade' album. A fitting title for the heat on the album and the heat in these Vegas streets.TDK has been a staple in the Veg music game for some time now. This being his third official album release. Not to mention his nine mixtapes either solo or collabs.
The lead single out the gate 'The Life I Chose'
sums up his grind, persistence and luv for the game.MOBgee  laces the infectious chrous.Produced by Kingvay Hill.If you wanna meet your maker TDK states he can set up a meeting for you on the ferocious "Fear God".
When the thunderous "I Ain't Buying It" blurs thru the speakers you are automatically drawn to the hard hitting drums and snyths. It has that anthem feel to it soon as chorus hits you.Speaking on the state of the Vegas rap scene and cats  coming with that bullshit.TDK is a student and vet of the trade.A true hip hop head as notice by his wordplay and lyrically content.Hits you with a club type banger on the Bay area sounding  "I'm In My Zone" like his says a "a tiger's stripes don't change".DJs can bang this one in the club.Heat provided by Calico Smoke 1.There are no filer cuts on the album.Even with it being (9) cuts deep with a bonus cut.TDK and Lucid Dreamz Music Group(Al "Slo" Thighman put together a solid body of work.Diverse joints that all mesh together well. When you get to "Bitch I'm Me" with a trill screwed type chorus and braggadocio bar dropping on hoes and the game.TDK puts the context it it's rawest element. All his true day one fans will appreciate this 2014 release. And new fans have a chance to get up on a Veg pioneer. The DJ slim produced "Bad MF" rides with a thick west coast bass line.A definite slapper.
Closing out the album is the silky pimpish"Sucka Dodgin" speaking  on this sucker ass lames polluting the game. As he navigates to  stay away from them.As his says bitch nigga repellent.Produced by Marlon Money and he blows on the hook. One of the stand out cuts.
The bonus cut "Trouble" has a sample based lacing through out the track.Showing TDK's diversity to spit over different beats.produced by Dice(R.I.P)
Overall this his a dope body of work. It's what the game needs right now.Witty wordplay, solid lyrically content, and sonically an incredible production landscape. The only  if any problem you might have is  it being  only (9) cuts deep. But in this day and age of the game. You'd rather have quality over quantity.
Don't sleep on "A Hundred In The Shade" . The question is can you take the heat.?

Mr.Blizzakk &DJ DFOS-WestBlokk mixtape review

Artist:Mr.Blizzakk
DJ:DJ DFOS
Label:Blakk Ragg/WestBlokk Entertainment

Rating is based on 5 records
(5- classic 4.5 close classic,4 near classic,3-dope,2-keep working,1-back to the lab

Straight of the streets of West Las Vegas comes Mr.Blizzakk  with DJ DFOS handling the hosting .Out the gate with "100 Racks" feat the Bundle Boys.Where  they team up to drop verbal jewels about settling for nothing less.Mr.Blizzakk's political pain and frustration is felt on "The Message" feat Zombie Zoo Hatin.Just imagine 2 Pac and Malcom X giving a revoultionary speech in the same room.Epic shit!!On Murder Sensation he rips thru toy MCs and anybody who wants it lyrcially.Dropping vicious venom bars.Blizzakk's style mixes a unique, passion, aggression, and street knowledge.A ode to the 90's revolutionary but gangsta Westcoast music. A la ( Ice Cube,2pac,Chuck D).However there is balance to the project which is evident on
"U Got It" which features T-Rone & Wisdom Phoenix and no appearance by Blizzakk. This is a definite radio joint.Smooth laid back peice.Make you wanna just kick it with ya girl.A cut you wouldn't  expect on the tape. That's the thing Westblokk is a overall feel & vibe  being potrayed.Also"B.B.E"(Beautiful Brown Eyes) show the diversity .Where Blizzakk exercises his thug -luv game to that special female that catches his eye.A butter hook  by T-Rone laces the track. Then there's the party and kick with females joints like "Girl Damn" feat MOBgee(Blakk Ragg Music) and J.R33Z.Rounded out the balance of tracks is "Fuk Night" makes you wanna get ya Hugh Hefner own when bumping this.
Closing out the tape is "Slave" touch backing on his conscious  tip.Refernces to a modern  slave system we in also how he's a slave to rhythm and his grind. The explosive "On Sum Pac Shit" where Blizzakk embodies the spirit of (Macaveili) .Repping the Herberts(Herbert Gerson hood) to the fullest.A cold joint to close out the tape.
WestBlokk incorporates a mixture of gangsta shit, hood laws, political views and kicking with the ladies.
A well balanced project for the streets and guaranteed to be platinum in the hood.If you wondering what happen to real gangsta shit..Look no further

J.Capital-No Alias: The Reintroduction Album review

Artist:J.Capital
Album:No Alias:The Reintroduction

Rating is based on 5 records
(5- classic 4.5 close classic,4 near classic,3-dope,2-keep working,1-back to the lab)

Upon first listening to J.Capital it's hard to put his style in a box.We haven't came across an artist with this much passion and depth in his content  and voice in awhile.Out the gate with his first official release No Alias' The ReIntroduction. The joint "Progression" tells a story of  his grinding and philosophies.Even quoting Malcom Gladwell's 10,000 hours theory. How he has put in his time in and close with reaching that mark at.His distintive voice feels like a visual verbal narration.Droping knowledge and bars for the conscious and lyrical heads.Like on the venomus "Jason Kruger" he goes for wack MCs jugler vain on this lyrcial onslaught. Also there is the feel good record"Never Change" about the upside of the hustle and the future success J.Capital sees himself having. With a live band feel production on the track.Production wise the project is solid.A wide landscape of music. Some sample based mixed with original music production. When you get to the melodic"Already Made It"  its shows off a versatile stye and delivery from J.Cap.A joint that could definitley see radio play.He theme is pretty consistent through the album grinding in this music game, uplifting ya mind and seeing success thru consistent effort. The witty "Propostion 19" is an ode to all the  smokers of that good. But not your average weed anthem.Dropping political views mixed in too.One of the standout cuts is "Find A Way" feat Dizzle and Luni-1.A culmination to the theme of the album.Speaking about tthis rap game and everday life. How cats holler about being killers and dealers but who's really be real to they self.Eack MC brings their view of the bullshit and politics.A sultry hook is laid over hard hitting drums balancing out the vibe.Dope !!The "Outro" is thanks to all he has been thru and the Lord has put his hand over him in.A fitting end .
J.Capital is a artist who used his own wit and grind with  no major team behind him to position himself to be among the elite.Don't sleep on this. His first official release but it feels like this cat has been out.His time of being a student in the game and crafting his skill is evident.
