Review:DJ DFOS

In an current era where status is dwarfed by skills. It's refreashing to hear an artist with an album that brings substance back to the game.Enter :Vocabb a  veteran MC hailing from the Vegas scene.Staying true to his lyrically roots. He gives you a full meal on just about every track no appetizers here.Opening up with the unapologetic
'Re Introduction' setting the tone for those who don't know or wonder what angle his coming from.As he states "do ya research".He eases you in to the album.Which is 12 cuts deep. The way classic albums were made not a bunch of fluff.Which is a set up for se for the over hand hook of 'Respect' . An Eeerie piano , haunting baseline and militant drums is the production backdrop .While Vocabb is going for sucker MCs head off top.."this that King Shit".Every line is literally  a gem which can stand alone.Dropping concious views  with venom is felt and heard on the light but deadly sampled flute meledey of 'Lights Out".Got that head nodding on a Dj Premier ish NY vibe joint  'Problem' .It got that swing do it simple but hella dope.He never lowers the bar on his bar game throughout the album ride.
Being the father of a  bloodline of MCs Toxsikk & S-U Preme.Vegas artist of this current generation.Toxsickk shows up on a couple tracks "No Hooks' and the kicking  it anthem "Roll Wit Us' and trade off chrous feel good joint where Vo handles the lead duties and Tox brings energy to the chrous.A joint that adds flavor to the overall feel of the album.Motion picture story telling is on full display with "Hello" .A mid tempo heavy hitting joint that takes you little deeper into Vocabb's mentality.Clowing wack MCs and broke ass bitches is addressed in "No Paitence" a ill vocal sample based joint. With a drum pattern that'll have your 15s knocking thru the trunk.A real gritty NY feel to it.Winding down to the self proclaimed 'King Cabb' joint takes a new approach producion wise.Feeling as if a live band is rocking with Vo.The cloesout track "No Hooks" is just as it reads raw bar game with his son Toxsickk opening up the lyrical annihilation .Trading off verbal death threats Cabb comes in mid sentence out of nowhere taking the baton and finishing the race.Overall if you appreciate solid bars with substance and dope colorful production. You won't be dissapointed with this body of work.An artist that put everything he epitomizes  into every line. You can feel his passion and power.Staking  his claim on the game.
